Umbra Security Audit Complete: Halborn Reviews 150K+ Lines of Privacy Infrastructure
Umbra's entire on-chain protocol completed a comprehensive security audit with Halborn, one of the most trusted names in blockchain security. This was our first external review of Umbra's cryptographic logic before mainnet launch.

What Got Audited

Halborn reviewed 150K+ lines of code across our ZK circuits, Solana programs, and mobile application. The audit covered:
  • Zero-knowledge proof circuits for private transfers
  • Anchor programs managing encrypted token balances
  • Mobile application security assessment
  • Penetration testing and source code review
  • Red team operational security exercises
  • Cloud security assessment
  • System and process design advisory

Why Halborn

Halborn has secured over $1 trillion in digital assets across 600+ clients, including Solana Foundation, Solana Labs, and Anza. They've reviewed 150K+ lines of code across SPL programs and Layer-1 components in the Solana ecosystem.
Timeline and Scope
The audit ran for 35 days across November and December 2024. The DAO approved $105,000 USDC for the engagement. Kru coordinated directly with Halborn's team to ensure the audit stayed on track for our mainnet timeline alongside Arcium's infrastructure deployment.

Results

Halborn verified the security of our ZK circuits and on-chain programs, confirming Umbra's privacy infrastructure works as designed before Arcium mainnet launch.
